The Buying Process, Step 1: Get a Consultation
We've said it before and we'll say it again - no one understand
more than a Realtor(c) just how daunting the home buying process can
be. So, we've set up this series to help you navigate the waters of
buying a home. Not only do we hope to make this an understandable
process for you, but also exactly what it is - an adventure! So join us
for...

The Buying Process, Step
1: Get a Consultation
Now, hold on before you think to yourself: "Oh, there they go,
trying to get me to use a real estate agent. They just want to make
sure they get a piece of the pie!" That's not what this is about. The
first step on your journey should be to
get a consultation so that you can discuss the buying process as a whole.
Talking to a professional will help in a number of areas that, if you
are not uniquely qualified as a real estate professional, you may not
be able to sort out on your own. Namely:
- what do you need vs. what do you want?
- how far from your job / children's schools are you willing to live?
- what neighborhoods are right for you?
- what level of "fixer-upper" is appropriate for your financial situation?
- what types of foreclosures are available and how can you tell if it is really a good deal?
If you want to start off on the right foot, then speaking with a
professional will help you do just that. After all, wouldn't you talk
to your doctor before taking medications? Wouldn't you speak with a
landscaper before re-seeding your yard? So why not speak with a
licensed real estate professional before starting your first home
buying experience? (And, by the way, the agent works for you absolutely
free of charge - they get paid by the seller!)
So call me for a consultation and let's get you off to a great
start! Then we'll be on our way to Step 2 - Establishing a Home Buying
Team!
